In an unusual twist, an Asian American is guaranteed a spot on the Texas House of Representatives.
In November, Democrat Sandra VuLe squares off against Republican Angie Chen Button. The winner will become the first Asian American from the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (and only the third Asian American statewide) to serve in the State Capitol.
